"Frigid" Ridge Runners, West Paterson Co. 3 Battles General Alarm .

On Tuesday February 6th at 4 o’clock in the morning West Paterson firefighters were summoned to a large fire in a recycling center. First arriving units encountered a large outside fire that quickly went to a general alarm. Bitter cold temperatures at that hour of the morning hovered near 10 degrees, that's without the wind chill factored in! Engine 3, whose nickname is "The Ridge Runners" Pulled into the facility and quickly went to work with their deck gun and two 2 ½ inch hand-lines to attack the fire, Truck 2 a 100’ tower ladder was also raised to help extinguish that blaze. After almost two hours the fire was brought under control.
