Rifle Camp Fire Company returns victorious

WEST PATERSON - The Rifle Camp Fire Company #3 members attended the AFANJ Muster at the NJ State Firemen's Home in Boonton, NJ, on Saturday, September 24, 2005.

They took their 1941 GMC Pumper (Engine 12) and their 1954 GMC Pumper (Engine 9). These apparatus were entered in the compition against several other units from the tri-state area.

Antique Apparatus Awards won by RCFC were 1st Place - Best Appearing Restored Fire Company Owned 1940 - 49, Engine 12, 1941 GMC Pumper and 1st Place - Best Appearing Restored Fire Company Owned 1950 - 59, Engine 9, 1954 GMC Pumper.

The West Paterson crew also entered several team compititions during the day.

Competition Awards won by RCFC were 1st Place Midnight Alarm (meembers - Joe Huber, Doug Ward, Matt Bariso and Probie Kovats); 1st Place Hose Stretching
(members - Joe Huber, Doug Ward, Matt Bariso and Probie Kovats); 2nd Place Bucket Brigade (members - Joe Huber, Doug Ward, Matt Bariso, Probie Kovats, George V. Fournier, Jr. and Bob Mucha); and 3rd Place Hose Rolling (Doug Ward - individual, with participating members - Joe Huber. Doug Ward, Matt Bariso, Probie Chris Kovats, George V. Fournier, Jr. and Todd Hollritt).
